Most of the split level ranch houses built in this era have Masonite siding installed directly over the studs. Brierwood is another area with lots of Masonite.
When we tear off the siding you can see the studs. Florida Building Code requires us to install sheeting (plywood or OSB) before the siding.
New sheeting is installed, the wall is protected with HardieWrap, trimmed in white ColorPlus HardieTrim, then Khaki ColorPlus Hardie Plank.
